History of CRNS

The Croton River Numismatic Society, or CRNS, as is normally referred to, had it’s beginnings in 1972 in the Carmel area of Putnam County, New York. A group of men and women who had been collecting, grading and selling coins and currencies for some time decided to form the Society Under Article II of the Constitution of the newly created venture was the “ Object “(ive), more commonly called now a “ Mission Statement “ “ The object of this Society shall be to encourage, discuss and promote the science of numismatics by gathering together of numismatists for the advancement of numismatics for the members and other interested parties “.
